As the chairman of American Defense International, Inc. (ADI) since the mid-1990s, Van Hipp has provided Washington DC-based consulting services to numerous corporate and government entities. His services span business development, public relations, and technology marketing, and encompass sectors such as security, defense, energy, and health care. Van Hipp has also been active with the President’s Council, part of the National Safe Skies Alliance.
Van Hipp’s background extends to a role as chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party in the late 1980s. His accomplishments included membership in the Presidential Electoral College and he introduced Newt Gingrich at the 1988 Republican National Convention in New Orleans.
A decorated military veteran, Mr. Hipp has experience as the US Army’s Deputy Assistant Secretary. His responsibilities included organizing reserve forces that participated in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shields. He subsequently managed legal matters for the Navy as Principal Deputy General Counsel in the aftermath of the 1991 Tailhook Scandal. Over the years, Van Hipp has appeared as a guest on news networks such as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.
